Thanks Ron,

I have. They are not as detailed or as clear as I would like. Nice gallery though.

I am always interested in the way others do their cars and why they choose to do things they way they do.

Mind you, I am not complaining about anyone's car here. I am just interested in looking.

David:) :) :)

Re: JBL

David,
Go out to their web site (http://www.jblmotor.com/chassis.htm). Here you will find many detailed shots of their chassis. They also have drawings of their chassis as well.

I went down and visited Richard and Dave a few weeks ago at their shop. Very impressive car and extremely knowledgeable people! Barring aerodynamics, I truly believe a JBL will keep up with ANY super exotic on a track! The irony is that I'm trying to decide between a Kirkham and a JBL. Very different cars but both are highly desirable top end cobras!!! Decisions...decisions!

David, I hear the JBL chassis is awesome. I have never seen one myself, but I have always been curious.

How about a Kirkham body on a JBL chassis?

decooney 07-14-2003 11:10 PM

Not even close...

That would be a pretty wide and stretched aluminum Kirkham body to fit a JBL chassis... a JBL is noticebly wider (6"longer by 4" wider or so?) and longer than a typical 90/91" wheelbase Cobra.

When you see the JBL in person for the first time, its just low, flat, and WIDE like a Can-AM car or something... has a body that sort of looks like a Cobra, but it's really a race car underneath... in a whole different league. If straight technology and performance were a comparsion factor by just looking at it, the JBL makes my ERA chassis looks like a dinosaur...

David,

If you have something in particular about the suspension or chassis that you would like a photo of, please let me know.

If I have a digital shot of the bit that you are interested in seeing, I will certainly forward it to you.
