Bwana50, thanks for the link. There does not seem to be any events listed past june 15. Do you know of any "get-togethers" of such? I am looking to meet/talk/learn from local Cobra owners as I am looking to purchase my first Cobra. Thanks! SDR

I too am looking at buying my first cobra. I have been building 1934 coupes and have been bitten by the cobra bug. I have looked at all the kits and am waiting on additional infor. form some.

Pretty well narrowed my search down to a turn key minus as I don't want to spend the time and effort to build one and it always turn out to be more money before you are finished.

I am also in Orange county and I like the roadsters. One place that I have found where a lot of Cobras gather on saturday morning is the Crystal cove shopping center. Had about 15 there last saturday along with other hot rods.

Would be glad to share any information that I have gathered with you.

SDR, I noticed that too. I'm not a member (have been contemplating) so I don't know what they're up to.

I think I saw on another post that you're looking for an SPF or ERA; FWIW, though, I have an FFR in San Clemente if you want to see one of them up close. And I've seen Cobras sometimes at the Donut Derelicts gatherings in Huntington Beach, every Saturday morning. More info here: http://www.river-road.net/oldcars/

Bwana50, I would love to see your car. I live in Coto de caza and am almost your neighbor (i.e san clemente)....I am planning on going got the Crystal Cover StarBucks satruday morning. let me know what your Saturday looks like and maybe we can hook up.

thanks
Scott

There are four other FFR's in Coto / RSM as well, if you'd like to see another besides Bwana. I'll send you an email with their email addresses so you can contact them if you'd like. If you're looking at an SPF or ERA, maybe one of these guys knows someone in your area with one. My in-laws are in RSM, so we get down there a couple of times a year.

Jeff, thanks for the heads up. My email is sdraskin@hotmail.com. Please let me know who the guys are in Coto or RSM. I was told there are few in the area but have not seen them. I did see an SPF during our July 4th parade and talked to the guy but that's it.

Thanks
SDR

I'm in Las Flores near Oso & Antonio, just around the corner. Let me know if you want to go for a ride this weekend.

A LOT of cars go to Derelict Donuts, Magnolia and Adams, in Huntington Beach...unfortunatley for me, theyarrive there about 6:00 AM, 'til 9 or so...I am an hour's drive north of there, so the early morning logistics of getting there doesnt work for me!

....forgot to mention, Derelict Donuts on Saturday mornings, EARLY.
