I just got off the phone with a gentleman who runs Business Development at Roush Performance. He said that he acquired the last ten 351w Sportsman II blocks yesterday from Ford. Apparently Ford is changing foundries and the new foundry won't be operational until at LEAST September 2003. Also, I was told Ford would be making some small design modifications to the 351w blocks but I couldn't get any details about this.

As a contingency plan (until the new blocks are produced), Roush will be selling reconditioned 351w blocks/engines once their small 351w inventory is depleted. In addition, they will be releasing soon a 427 DART engine that can be bored to 4.5" to create 800HP.
