Pics Up,Need help!
Since a family emergency has stopped work for a bit,I decided to post pics of the pile of parts I look at daily,{maybe I can get over your guys ribs by the time I get it finished } hehehe.
Is there a charitable csx or kirkham owner out there willing to take a couple detailed pics for me of the floor pedal box,and the bulkhead/battery/roll bar area behind the seats ? ?since I have more down time I can tear up more stuff.:} There is a pic taken at monterey in 2001 of a red number 22{http://www.chapman3.com/images/vroom...27cobra_01.jpg},it could be a csx but I suspect ERA or EM,I would love to know the paint color of this car. thanks in advance guy's Tk |
Tim..
..the car you referenced is CSX3195, owned by Mac Archer. What aspect of the pedal box and bulkhead do you need to see? |
Thanks for the quick reply Ron,I just need to see the general pedal set up so I can try and come as close as possible style and mounting wise, just a close shot of the driver footbox would be great.as well the batteries mounted behind the passenger seat, and maybe one shot of the roll bars behind the driver ,both looking from the passenger side. thanks again
P.S.thanks for the info on the car,it was the tail lights that thru me off,I am thinking this is "T"candyapple red"do you have a clue ? |
Your pic shows what a striking red the car is... don't know for sure.... but he did go thru a restoration and likely stayed with the Rangoon Red that was original.
Pics coming up shortly... |

I will look for the pics,,I hope your right about the rangoon,,I intend to use only a vintage ford color, but was afraid the rangoon was too orange to suit me,I remembered my Dad painting his 63 galaxie with the 66 "T" candyapple red for that same reason, but I sure dig the color on 3165. thanks again,

the pedals look great Ron,Just what I need ,I'll watch for the bulkhead.I love the dimmer switch,I miss those,I had thought about it already, now I gotta have one, does your car have a key turn start ? or push button, seems I have seen cars with push buttons, did the 3xxx cars use ford key blanks and switches ? or ac ?thanks again
|
Originals used a spring-back key switch by Lucas with WILMOT BREEDEN (Union) keys.
|
Ron, are those pics of a CSX or Kirkham? The wiring connectors on the dimmer switch look well done and different than what mine came with (the rainbow assortment of vinyl covered connectors).

Tim,
If you look at my phot galley, this is Ford Candy Apple Red, Base Coat with Clear Coat. The White Stripes are Ford Performance White. It was a 1966 Ford color, PPG. |
