How Much?

Two Newbie Questions............

Does anyone know what the highest confirmed price ever paid for an orginal Shelby Cobra?

Also, does anyone have an idea what Mr. Shelby's personal Cobra (CSX2000?) might bring at auction?

Thanks,

One of the (6) Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupes sold at Monterey several years ago for $4M at the RM Auction. Opened up some big eyes for all Shelby Collectors.

Carroll has turned down $1M for his CSX2000 . Who knows what may prevail down the road. **)

There is a lot of speculation on CSX 2000. A story was running around that Christie's, or some other high end auction house, claimed they could get over $5,000,000 for it. That was a few years ago. Purely speculation would be my guess regarding that number.

One of the Mile's FIA cars, that needed everything, reportedly sold for over $800,000 a couple of months ago.

Where, besides the Coupes, will the next big dollar Cobra come from? My guess would be CSX 2196, the infamous Ken Mile's Development Car. The 427 Prototype, aka "The Flip Top".
While not for sale, that one would ring up a big number on the cash register.
