LEDs - - I LOST THE OTHER THREAD.
AT MY AGE - IF IT'S NOT IN MY POCKET, OR HANGING AROUND MY NECK - - - IT'S PROBABLY LOST. (SOMETIMES EVEN THEN).
I TRIED BUT CAN'T FIND THE RECENT THREAD REGARDING USING LEDs FOR REAR TAIL LIGHTS. I RESPONDED TO THAT THREAD AND DESCRIBED THE LEDs THAT I USED AND SEVERAL OF YOU E-MAILED ME ASKING FOR THE MANUFACTURE AND HIS LOCATION. SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO GET BACK BUY MY COMPUTER WENT "NUCKING FUTS" ON ME AGAIN. THE COMPANY IS: LAMBERT ENTERPRISES NORRIS, TN. 865-494-9850 www.lambertenterprises.com THE MODEL THAT WE USED IS "LE-412". IT'S APPROXIMATELY 4 INCHES HIGH BY 2 INCHES WIDE AND CONTAINS ABOUT 60 (OR MORE) LEDs. IT'S NECESSARY TO MODIFY THE RECTANGULAR LIGHT FRAME AND LENS. THE CENTER BARRIER IN THE LENS MUST BE GROUND OUT SOME AND THE ACTUAL LIGHT FRAME ASSEMBLY NEEDS TO HAVE THE LIGHT POST AND SOME ADDITIONAL METAL "DREMELED" OUT. WHEN COMPLETED IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE IT DID ORIGINALLY - - - UNTIL YOU STEP ON THE BRAKE OR TURN ON A TURN SIGNAL. THESE ARE NOT THE LITTLE FIXTURES THAT PLUG IN WHERE YOU TOOK THE LIGHT OUT. THESE SUCKERS ARE BIG AND BRIGHT. IF THERE IS ANY PROBLEM IDENTIFYING THE PROPER UNIT JUST TELL THEM THAT YOU WANT THE SAME UNITS THAY HE SOLD TO JACK MOGUS AND COREY ZIMMERMAN. REMEMBER - - THESE ARE FOR THE RECTANGULAR TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLIES ONLY. I'M SURE THAT THEY HAVE SOMETHING FOR THE TWO "ROUND" TAIL LIGHTS BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE PART NUMBER WOULD BE. GOOD LUCK - - YOU'LL REALLY LOVE THESE THINGS. Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY, BLACKJACK |
For any one interested:
Do a search on LED and you will find the other thread that Jack is referring to. In that thread I gave detailed instructions as to how you need to modify the Lucas lenses for the LE-412 led strip. Let me know if you have questions. They work and are great! |
