anyone done business with these guys?

They're local to me in Jersey, and am wondering if anyone here has done business with them. They claim they do quite a bit of engines for FFR folks, and want to check them out. Expert opinions on the following appreciated: http://www.fordcobraengines.com/cobra351.html I'm looking for a street car that I can really lean into from time to time. Thinking about doing a bit of time trial racing, and the occasional autocross. Thanks, Chris |
Chris-
Do a search for the Engine Factory. I think you will find some info on them. I believe there are a few people here who have purchased motors from them and have been pretty satisfied. |
Four or so years ago I purchased a short block from Chris at Engine Factory. I built it up myself and it still is running very strong. They have evolved over the years and now offer complete turnkey engines for Cobras. I know several people who have these, including a couple in England. Engine Factory has an excellent reputation.
Call Chris and ask for some references. Drive over and visit their facility and you will see what a clean operation they have. I believe they have a promo video also. Also, they offer a one year warrantee on their engines, something that Ford does not offer. http://www.priveye.com/kitcar/enginefac/one.jpg Roscoe |
I used the Engine Factory to build my 351 - and after 10,000 miles have no complaints whatsoever. Chris is a pleasure to work, with and they met their timetable as promised. I'd use them again without hesitation.

Thanks Roscoe....took your advice and went out there today. Very nice setup they have out there. Noticed a budding acting career in the video, laying a bit of rubber in their parking lot - very nice!
