Jackie Madariaga 48165 Pechanga Rd Temecula CA 92592 909 676-8831 Check with FFR about buying just a chassis before getting too excited. They are probably not too keen on the idea |
Doesn't he state on the website that he can do a chassis as well?Maybe that just means getting an FFR chassis and doing some mods, I don't know. Car looks very nice.
TT |
The chassis he had at Knotts was a modified FFR. The mods (welding) where very substandard. I would be concerned about a full on homemade chassis.

Just a guess, but I think SPF is going to put the definitive exclamation point on this Coupe business. With Brock's history of doing the original car, this will probably put an end to all the attempts to replicate this car in any serious fashion. That was a stroke of genius by SPF to associate themselves with Brock. Pete is their biggest cheerleader and, believe me, when you can talk to the guy that made it happen, the sale is not too far down the road.
I talked with Pete at Monterey, and by mid afternoon on Saturday they had sold six cars. |
I know this post is from over a month ago, but I wanted to let everyone know that a new website is available with proper contact information and some more photos.
www.scdaytona.com We are still in production stages, but welcome any questions you may have. Thanks. |
Thanks for the update. :)

Car does look good, but how 'bout some more detailed pics? How much$$$?. Are the bodys made in US or Mexico? How much headroom from floor to roof? How much shoulder room, leg room? What kind of MSO comes with the car?Does it have a full roll cage?thanks,mr b

frame???
scdaytona,
You could have saved a lot of research and time by fabricating a 289 reproduction frame just as your site stated. The Factory Five with FOX Mustang 5.0 suspension is not close for a "repro" traverse spring set up on a DAYTONA. Those frames go for $4000 or so, tough to cut one up for that type of suspension and why shorten it? Metal for frame costs less than $500. Welcome to the world of new startups, you will get advice by the truckloads, I'm sure. Good luck in your venture. grumpy |
Mr Bruce - More pictures will be available soon. Like I said we are still in the production stages so we don't have a definite price yet. Bodies are being made in US. Headroom, shoulder room, etc. is comparable to that of the original coupes. Full cage will be optional.
Grumpy - The prototype of this coupe (which was seen by some at Knott's) was on a modified FFR frame, however we are now using a custom fabricated 289 frame that is not associated with any kit company. You may see pictures of this chassis at www.scdaytona.com under the photo section. Thank you for your well wishing. :) |
