No...No ....it's not what you think.
American Collectors just sent me my renewal. It is listed as a 1966 Replica Cobra Roadster. Agreed Value 30,500.00 Comp and Collision: No deductible PIP: 250 Deductible $206.21 renewal Roscoe |
One up on you Roscoe.:D :D :D
Agreed value 40,000 renewal $140 per year Spitz |
Who are you guys insured with?
David:) :) :) |
That's funny, American Collectors told me they do not insure Cobra replicas. Period.
|
Spitz: Who writes your policy? Lower premium could have to do with the demographics. Joisey is a bigger risk!
Dave: http://www.americancollectorsins.com/ Cowtown: Mebby they don't like Texans:confused: Roscoe |
You both are one paying less than me. My last renewal was
$263.34 every 6 mos w/ $40K stated value w/$1000 ded Who do you have your insurance with? Clois |
Just ran a quote request for my Cobra and A and C 34 Ford, came back $1140! NC is one of the worst states for this koind of coverage. Guess I'll stick with liability only, and hope for the best!
|
American Hobbyist on the other hand, quoted me $390 annually with $40,000 replacement value.
|
Roscoe,
I just contacted American and they will only insure vehicles built by a factory? |
I guess I got in under the wire. Sorry.
Roscoe |
Roscoe,
I'm also insured with American Collectors, even though I work for a rival company. Policy is less restrictive than others. But you still have to follow their guidelines. As you said, you can buy more miles if you want. Just gotta think of a good excuse in case you stuff it into the tire barrier at Pocono or the Glen, huh? :D Steve |
This time when I called American Collectors and they said "sure we insure professionally built Cobra replicas". Quoted me 2500 miles, $40,000 replacement value, @ $290 a year!
|
Man, you all are lucky. Grundy quoted me at $740 a year but when they found out how old I was they told me to go fly a kite. I'm 27 and am not have much luck with the insurance. I've had state farm since I was 16 with no claims and they told me the company won't insure cobra's at all.

Your agent is giving you bad info on that. Do a search for the last year on insurance and you will see there are a lot of cars being insured by State Farm and with agreed upon values. I have them, "it's a fact Jack". Jim |
I too have State Farm your agent is giving bad info & the premium is based on the title BUILD date be honest.
