What about an Aluminum CSX4000 car for $50K??

What about an aluminum roller (unpainted) for $49.9K? $39.9K (new CSX 4000 car) + $10K for a Kirkham body (based off of ebay sales prices averaging $12K or so assuming a slight discount for quanitity) taking into account any incremental charge to assemble an aluminum car being offset by the lack of paint/prep work to a glass body?

Ok, maybe $50 is a bit low - so say the final price of the glass CSX car is $44K and the body price/labor is more than I projected...we are still at roughly $55-60K.....at which point the CSX Price = Kirkham's price.

I guess Shelby would never offer those pricing levels on an aluminum car, but who knows.

Thoughts?

Good luck.
If that happened better close down every replica builder.

There would be no others besides Shelby and FFR.
Since they were rumored to merging anyway (remember that silly thread) there would be only Shelby selling all the Cobras here in US.
When they get the own 100% of the market, guess what? They would raise the price again , since they are the only game in town.
Then other replica manufacturers would get in the act, and offer a better and cheaper product and the cycle would repeat itself.

Nope. Couldn't happen.
