Turk and Jamo:

Looks like a trip to the interior shop this coming Monday. Pretty comfortable looking stuff.

Jamo:

Same year as mine, the blue one. Both built in 1990. Mine has 5,400 miles; this was 8,400. Thanks for the mileage update on that one. I was REALLY curious about that it, as they don't come up for sale that often. Did you notice if it had the custom luggage behind the seats? Thanks again.

Neah, just another replica. SB at that.

Beautiful car.

Do you know why I liked it so much?

Check out the seat on my Harley...

Jamo 08-23-2003 08:40 PM

Cal
I can't recall, and a review of the catalog didn't help. Lo siento.

Imagine luggage with Big Bird trime with Burberry panels...;)

James Baldwin 08-23-2003 08:43 PM

Wow! Thanks for the pictures!! Keep them coming!

Turk 08-23-2003 09:05 PM

James,
I would love to.
I posted close to 200 pictures elsewhere and would hate to do it all over again.

Wow!

Somebody knows how to take racing pics. Were those done with a digital or are they scanned from film?

I am truly impressed, "bdougr".;)

Bill Kesner 08-24-2003 01:45 AM

Cal,

Thanks for the photo's with Ron's help ofcourse!! And thanks for the captions as well.

Doug......You take some incredible digital pictures. I'm curious as to what model camera your shooting with? Awesome detail and clarity. I thought my pics were good till I saw yours.

Cal Metal Cal Thanks for the picture of the show. What motor is in the first picture with Phil and the GT 40 P car off to the left on the engine stand. It has webers. The new motor for the GT-40 coming out this year? Thanks Rick Lake

Wow! What great shots! Next time, just let me know you're going, and I'll just leave my camera at home. Nice job - thanks for sharing.

Nice pictures, everybody. Cal, my "Polish chin" distracted everyone from your English nose, trust me.

Rick, that engine had an info card that called it a "427 calliope" motor. There wasn't too much specific info, from what I recall, other than saying it was under development for the GT40 LeMans program but obviously never made it into a race car, at least not under racing conditions. Looked kind of like a SOHC motor with enormous Webers (58's??) and a large-diameter bundle-of-snakes exhaust. I would have asked Rem about it but Cal was monopolizing his time all weekend and only permitted the rest of his "friends" four minutes + three questions per day. Saturday morning I made the mistake of asking Phil how he slept, at which point Cal jumped in and said, "Ah hah!' only two more questions for you today, mister!":D

That Gullwing was art. I have a pair of boots made from Ostrich belly--they are the softest SOBs my feet have ever been coddled in--

Jamo 08-24-2003 06:19 PM

Snakeeyes

Ostrich boots--well, you is a Texan.:3DSMILE:

I'm still wearing in my buffalos--only the resoles so far.

:p

Excaliber 08-24-2003 06:35 PM

Is this the "photo" shoot chat room thread? It is? Excellent!

OK, check out this picture my boy took at an SCCA event. About 5X optical zoom, 4 meg Olympus, "sport" shutter speed setting, and only "medium" resolution setting. Good stop action of a car in motion with one tire off the ground. It DOES look a look a little "fuzzy" when you look close. Would it have been "sharper" with a higher "resolution" setting, or would that have made much difference?

I'm looking for an honest opinion! Thinking maybe a "better" camera in my future?
