Off angle to allow the filter to be removed, but attached to the engine.

You are going to have to see what you end up with. The filter may interfer with the frame like it did on mine.

Just a thought.

Remote Filter

I would have to say that you should definiyely have a remote.

1) Easiness of changing the filter.
2) If you are running an oil cooler, you would want to filter the oil before it gets there.
3) You could use two filters, if you like over-kill like I do.
4) You could use a larger than normal oil filter.

A Sump?? If you have the room, go for it but they take up a lot of room.

I had the same problem with long filters

My babe and I were getting ready to take off to the Pacific International Raceway in Kent, WA for the Historics not long ago.. and I noticed a small drip of oil under the motor.. the long filter was riding on my spaceframe and had cracked. Could have ruined our day if I had not been aware..

I quickly jacked it up, changed to a short filter, checked the oil level and we were off... be careful where you mount it...

What short filter are you using.
