I don’t what to sound dumb hear but, I’m being told that this is a 98'' wheel base and not a 90'' there is two different length cars a 90’’ and a 98’’. I’m looking for how long it is
From bumper to bumper. I have a two car garage that one side is 15’ and the other side is 25’ feet and I would like to park it on the 15’ foot side. That is why I need to know this.

if the kit you are looking at has a 98" wb it is probably a cobraette(sp?) which is a cobra style body on a corvette chassis.

An original Cobra and most replicas have a 90" WB and there are other variations with 92" 94" and 96" WB.

Here is a link to ERA's specifications.

These should be pretty accurate

Original cars have a 90 inch wheel base. Our cars are 12 1/2 feet long...just like an original. Now, That doesn't count the jack hooks or bumpers, so it will be a little longer. 13 feet sounds about right.

(Why did I measure them without jack hooks? Because I had to figure out how many I could stuff into a container!)

Knowing Ron, he has it measured his car down to the nearest nanometer...

David:D :D :D

Ok that helps me out.
Thanks for your help

Wonder where he got a pair of calipers that big? Or maybe he used a laser beam setup.......

CMM, co-ordinate measuring machine. Like they measure (check) Indy cars etc.
Isn't it how "short" is a chinaman......
and how long is a piece of string?
Anyone wanna talk about suspension dimensions?

He has a massive automotive MRI machine.

Andrew "Dice" Clay, to an Asian tailor: "I need a jacket, 42 long." Asian tailor hears "40 too long", and says to Dice: "38?" Dice, (getting more and more exasperated as the bit goes on) says "NO! 42 LONG!"....................................I guess you have to hear Dice say it..............It really is funny!......Really!

Excaliber 08-27-2003 07:23 PM

No really, Tim said it was THIS big......
