I want to be Cobra poor

I was checking out the exotic car chatlines earlier tonite. All they
talk about is how often there cars break down and how expensive
they are to fix. For what these people spend on maintenance you
could buy a new Cobra every 3 years. At one time I wanted to be rich, now I just want to be a poor guy with a Cobra.

taters poor

taters,
a good basic FE/toploader COBRA is less than a new CAMRY (japkrap), which is more than a Crown Vic anyway, so get in the poor house with the bunch of us. oh, i forgot, they build em better!
you'll get your hands dirty though, and might get a few cuts installing the ally panels!

Taters;
There's a fellow I know that always complains he has to drive his old truck, can't afford a new one. He smokes 3 packs a day, so I figure in 6 years he could have had my cobra for the cost of cigs ! , all he has is a hacking cough. So when people say the wish they could afford a cobra, I say they can, it's just that their 'vise' has to be the 'need 4 speed' instead of nicotine.

I was poor when I bought mine, so my social status actually changed for the better when I bought it.

S'funny Brent.......

.....ripping around my seaside village has merely CONFIRMED my social status*---by the way, have you ever treed a middle-aged woman? Treeing dogs was funny---this was hysterical. She's a Clintonista---so I ought get free tickets to DVSF IV!!:LOL:

Taters,

I beat you to it. Before I retired and started in with the cars I had quite a bit of money. Nothing like 95% of the people in the club have, but I could pretty much get anything I really wanted. Now I have three cars, no money, and gas is so high I can only slip in after somone fills their car and drain the hose before they catch me. But in all honesty, I have to say that I am much happier now that I was before. I may be broke but now people notice me when I drive by. Maybe the noise more than the car as all the car alarms in the block go off. :D :3DSMILE: :LOL:

As long as we own a Cobra, (or have friends that LOVE to go for rides in OUR Cobras), we will never be poor!! Remember, It is better to have a Cobra and no money, than never to have owned a Cobra at all!!
