KYCC, Kentucky Cobra Club

A few of the Cobra owners I know have expressed an interest in getting together for cruising and for sharing of information. In other words explore the possibility of developing a Cobra Club for the state of Kentucky.

I have never developed a club concept but am interested in talking to fellow Cobra owners about the possibility of developing one. If the idea appeals to you please write me some e-mail or respond to this post.

Hi Rick:

I am looking forward to getting this club thing started. Some of us should get together and discuss how to go about doing it. I will be contacting several Cobra Clubs and try to learn from their experience of developing their Clubs.

I will try to keep all posted on this forum. If anyone has any ideas me know. All of you can reach me at the address and phone or e-mail address below.

Juan, Good luck in your efforts! I am a Louisville native. There were several original Cobras sold at Burns Ford in the 60's. I remember looking at a dark blue one in the old show rrom on Shelbyville Road. Mike Skelton of Louisville, owned two 289's , one of which he sold to my brother in 1971 (CSX 2306). I have taken my car CSX 2401 to Louisville for the Brown County fall Shelby Meet in the past. I wish I could make it this year, but its a long haul. I will be in Louisville Oct. 23-27. If you have anything scheduled for that weekend for your Cobra Club, let me know. I'd love to see your cars.

Hi Jim:

Thank you for the response. We would love to meet you and perhaps have an opportunity to share our love for these cars, regardless of who manufactured which.

I am in the planning stages of the Club and will keep you posted. If you could post some images of your car I am sure we would love seeing it.

Thank you for the well wishes.

Juan

Juan, keep me posted on how things are going as far as organizing a club. I am very interested in that as you already know.
Wish I could join you guys at the Muscle Car Nats but due to being so busy lately I really need a weekend off. I probably won't make it to Bardstown tomorrow night either.
Also, I think there will be a cruise at Ritzy's in Owensboro on the third weekend in Oct. It will be about a two hour drive from Louisville. Would any of you be interested in doing that?
I think it would be fun if we could bring five or six Cobras to that cruise.
We could also drive back to Hardinsburg and play at the dragstrip for awhile if we wanted to.**)
