Need simple ideas for a temporary front grill

I'm getting ready to take my car in for the safety inspection in a couple of weeks and I spoke to the inspector the other day who told me that the car can have "no moving parts exposed", and he particularly noted the twin pusher fans in the front of the car (I guess he's seen a cobra or two).

So, I have two options- either remove the fans or fabricate some type of grill. Removing the fans isn't too tough, but if anyone has any simple ideas for a grill that would be easier and quicker to install than removing the fans, I'd love to hear about it. What material did you use and how did you attach it to the snout?

Thanks in advance.

Disconnect them and say they're cosmetic only, just like the quick jacks.

Are the blades attached with a set screw or two??? Just remove the blades..

Stuff some chicken wire (or similar wire mesh) in the mouth opening. Use silicone seal to "glue" it in place in need be.

Use the chrome diffusers out of an overhead fluorescent lite; they are sometimes chrome, maybe plastic. You could trim them to fit IN the grille, or fashion some brackets to mount them to the quick-jack/bumper mounts. Have also seen Cobras with a piece of sheet aluminum with 2" holes drilled in it; kind of ugly, IMHO, but for a temporary fix............OR, go to the local junkyard and get the grille from any car that looks ok, and mount it temporarily to your Cobra...

The inspector my not like the side pipes either - ERA has a set guards you can borrow-- maybe they have a grill you can borrow too.
