Notice of Cancellation
I got the dreaded letter fron DMV today:mad: :mad:
I had a guy register my ERA I won't mention his name...But he charged me $2200 and I thought all was good until today when I got a notice of cancellation from the DMV. What do I do?? Do I call the lady or just wait until the deadline (oct. 3rd) to deal with it.I says to send in my plate!! I paid for a custom plate! This plate is mine right? What now do I have to go through sb100? on Jan 1st? Please help!! I at least would like to drive my car until end of summer and deal with this during winter. What now? |
If I understand the SB100 issue correctly your "completed" car will not qualify under that law.
I believe it is for FIRST TIME registration only of a specially constructed vehicle and must be registered by the first owner. As your car has all ready been registered once, and now "pulled" it is not the "first time" for it. It may have a "title block" on it and will be difficult to register in Calif. under any law now. Not the first one, won't be the last. Some of my friends are dealing with that VERY issue right now in Hawaii. Solution? There seriously thinking about moving......... Contact your attorney first, speak with him as to what needs to be done to "make things right" with the CA DMV. have him contact the CA DMV office, you should not do it yourself.
