Oil Pressure
Guys,
Does anyone know why the early 392 strokers from Ford had low oil pressure ??? My stroker was one of the first and my OP hot at an idle was 35 and would max out at 45 when revved up to 6,000. Ford kept telling me that they never heard about the problem. Anyway, I installed a Canton 7 qt pan, melling HP oil pump and an accusump and after 3 years I developed a bearing noise. The band aid approach didn't work. My engine builder has it now and when he advises me of the cause, I will report. John |
