After a previous thread, I thought the "M" word wasn't printed here.:D

mr bruce 09-21-2003 11:23 AM

That's the other Cobra forum, they hate his guts. I ain't got no quarrel with him, I hope he's doing alrite

Woodz428 09-21-2003 11:29 AM

I like him too( never met him, maybe I wouldn't like him, I don't know), but he seemed to get a bunch of flak in the last month here. He hasn't posted anything that generated the kind of feelings in me that others apparently had/have. I'm not easily offended though.

Meat is "controversial" to say the least, which makes him an interesting character.

In some areas I clearly DO NOT agree with his view points, very strongly in some cases. BUT I have also been cordial in my correspondence with Meat via e-mail regarding his opinions, and he has shown the same courtesy to me.

It IS possbile to disagree with someone without beating them up! He is a worthy opponent, I give him that respect at least.

.....boy sometimes he really pisses me off, :D , as I'm sure I do him!

I don't care if Meat is a knucklehead or the greatest wite guy since Abraham Lincoln. Question remains, what's the status on the M40? JBL being involved should add some credibility to the project? No? anybody?

Mr. Bruce,

JBL is not directly involved in Meat's M40.

They may manufacture some parts for him once he gets to a production stage if their costs are competitive. That is a business decision that is up to Mr. Bell.

Dan Semko 09-21-2003 06:07 PM

I have spoken with Meat aka Shaun Bell several times over the years and although we may not be in agreement with everything, I have always found him to be personable, polite and informative which always made his posts interesting and frequently humorous when he was in full rant.
If Meat is ill and hospitalized, I wish him only the best and a speedy recovery. Anyone that takes these cars seriously or the diatribe personally, needs a reality check. This passionate hobby is significantly less in value than anyone's health or well being. These cars are expendible and although I've mixed heated words with the best including Wayne Stoker, Art Colley, Bish Wheeler and Meat to name a few, I still wish no harm to any of them!;)

Sounds like the M40 got lost somewhere between daydream and vaporware.

Excaliber 09-21-2003 08:38 PM

Well said Dan.

Ernie
