DMV Nevada

Is registering in Nevada a difficult process? The car has never been registered and doesn't have an MSO, but I do have all the receipts.

anybody?

The best thing to do is call your local DMV and they'll tell you what you need to bring in. As far as emissions go, that's determined by the year of the block. Any motor that's pre 1968 requires a yearly visual inspection to verify but then it is emissions excempt.

Thanks for responding! Great because the block is pre-'70. Did they ask you for your MSO and all receipts?

You'll need to bring your MSO or bill of sale.
It's funny but it really depends on who takes the information when you go to register. I've heard several different stories about what's required. Maybe you'll get lucky amd they'll just put it through, no questions asked.

ST,
I LIVE IN THE NORTHERN PART OF NEVADA. SMOG CHECKS DEPEND ON THE COUNTY. DOUGLAS, DOES NOT REQUIRE THEM. WASHOE, CLARK, AND CARSON DO, BUT SOME OF THE SMALLER DO NOT.

That's exactly why I suggested he call his "local" DMV.
He didn't say what county he was in.
