Polished Wheels
I have polished wheels that are a pain to keep clean ( Water marks, brake dust, etc.) How do you cope when you would rather be driving the car?:JEKYLHYDE

I posted a question a while back about using "Zoops seal" but, didn't have a response from someone that has used it yet to find out how well it works. Zoops claim to have applied it to their hot rod engine parts a year ago & haven't had to polish anything since. "Eastwood" also has a similure product for protecting polished alum. I'm still just using Mothers polish, it works well but, I'm not using anything to "protect" the finish. I just bought a big bench type polisher on a stand & a hand help grinder/polisher. I plan on polishing all of my alum. parts + my wheels. I'm hoping to try "zoop seal" this winter. It costs around $130 but, claims to cover every engine part or four wheels & ect.

I used to live in Duxbury and kept a 32' sloop in Matapoisett. Loved sailing over to your island. Must be a ball having a cobra on the island. Are you the only one?? |

We have a fair amount of Classic Cars and Motorcycles but no Cobras. We try to go "Off Island" every other weekend if the weather is permitting. The Winter is the only time that we get lonely, but I can safely say "No one has ever passed me on the Island":JEKYLHYDE If it is called a 427 then it has to have a 427.

Marstons Mills here - I have Team III wheels and they suggest usisng flour (as in baking flour) to polish the wheels. I haven't tried it but . . . Never wash your wheels with a dirty cloth and be careful to hose off the brake dust before you touch the wheels. It is very abrasive. The last time I polished my wheels I took them off, laid them on the ground and used Mother's aluminum polish. They looked like a mirror. I never wash my car and it has never been wet (lucky so far). No water = no water spots :MECOOL: Gotta go to sleep so I can get up early and kill some striped bass. |
