Shelby American The Marque NEEDED

I have just completed getting all the back issues of the Shelby Magazine, The Marque.
I am missing only one addition Volume 1 #2.
If any of you can find me one, I will respond not only with great appreciation but a rare piece of Shelby memorabilia as well.
Thanks,
Steve Sunshine

Thanks Guys.
Since I don't know where to start I will list a couple of things and then you can guide me as to what type of stuff you might want ie;
signed, old magazines, posters etc.

-1966 The Glen 500 with Hal Keck in CSX 3008 poster/flyer. This is 8 1/2" X 14 " Original printed front and back.

- Original Warner Bros 8 X 10 from Gumball Ralley with Michael Sarrazin sitting in the 427 Cobra getting soaked down by Raul Julia with a hose.

-1995 Dinner wine glass from 1995 30th Shelby Anniversary Bash in Sonoma County California. It is etched with a Cobra.

-1991 Shelby Signature Color Calender

-June 1959 Rougue Mens Magazine with 5 page article and phot's on Carroll Shelby

-11x14 Cobra Caravan Shot Framed

-1964 R&M Ford paint chip sheet with Guardsman Blue, Wimbledon White & Rangoon Red

-Original Riverside Raceway Sticker in the original celophane bag.

Again, there is a lot but it would help if you give me a direction of something you are looking for.

WHA HAPPENED???

Where did you guys go?

Jim Maxwell 09-30-2003 07:38 PM

Steve, CSX 2149 is a wonderful early 289 car with only ~23,000 original miles. Originally owned by Brian Malloy, the inventor of Prozac, after buying it from Ford where it was an executive car or something to that effect. It was found by the Culligan Soft Water man when installing a system for Dr. Malloy on his farm outside of Indianapolis. Apparently, Dr. Malloy didn't like the original off-white and must have had an Earl Schieb trainee paint the car bronze metallic. It sat in the dirt floor barn for many years, where a raccoon took up residence in the interior.
After discovery, it passed into the hands of a Shelby lover, who eventually loaned it to a museum in Gatlinburg, TN, where it was displayed for several years. During that time, it became "famous" as the example of an "original" Cobra on the DIY television network. Tom Cotter and I bought the car and have spent the last year and a half slowly restoring it, using our Cobras, CSX 2401 and CSX 2490 as on-hand models for comparison, as well as detailed photos and diagrams made prior to disassembly. We hope to have it completed next spring and move on to our next project.

Thanks for the offer. I have not been able to interest any of the others with trading memorabilia. If there is anything you would like or need, I would be happy to trade or pay for the issue. Let me know.
