#1,2,4 & 6 are "AC Cobra MkIV"
Sorry for the quality of the pictures, because I've used my SonyErisson P800 phone.
Peace,

Re:

Interesting photos, I've never seen "real" ACs/Shelbys with high back seats. I'm not quite sure what to think!

real to be sure, just not so old

The Roush cars are all "Autokraft" Cobras.

I think it was early 80's these were sold at Ford dealerships.

One of the Cobra history buffs can explain better than me

Ozgur....that's some fine work...

....interesting way to take photos(a little above my pay-scale!)! I really like that dark-purple (photo #3) I wonder where one could get a better look at that color? Does Rouse publish a museum-guide brochure with printed data? Good work...were you taking these shots "on the sly" (since some museums ban cameras) ? If so..REALLY good work! There's a place down in Virginia which might be interested in your talents!:JEKYLHYDE

Interesting pictures. Eric, when I was talking to the Ford dealers out here in the late 70 & early 80s about buying an Autocraft Cobra I tried one and wasn't to impressed. They all had 302s that were so smogged they hardly had enough power to pull the accessories that Ford felt had to be on every car, let alone the car. I think later they really improved the performance and may have even gone to larger engines. But the one I tried out had 4 cataletic converters on it plus numerous other junk to pass smog. God I hate that word. When you have 20 million cars in the state and 30,000 of them are the older cars or replicas, they can't possibly be a major contributor to smog. Also all the plants that buy the right to not meet emissin requirements. Sorry about the tirade but Smog and Emissioons is to me like a red flag to a bull.

I drove one of the Autocraft cars that a Ford dealer had for sale in 1985 and I loved it. They let me put about 20 miles on the car.
They were asking $50,000 for a new one and would come off that price a bit. I was driving a "new" '84 Corvette at the time and they were not willing to give me anything on a trade. I always regretted not buying that car.
