Email + Ebay type scam
If you get an email that looks like it came from Ebay stating that your account information is in question, and that you have to confirm your billing information.....DO NOT answer it. The site it sends you to is not associated with ebay in any way shape or form..............
Ebay has been notified as well.............This has been going around in one form or another for at least two years........................... Bill S. |

I received an email from Ebay.com (vs. ebay.com) telling me that my account has a problem. It included a link to what appeared to be the ebay login page, but upon further looking it was a "look alike" site. I viewed the source and found that the page owner was using get another 3rd party service to collect the data (user name and password), so I notificed the 3rd party service, and they have subsequently shut down their service to this scammer. (I also notified ebay ;-)
Please be on the look out for these scams, and always use the "secure" feature when logging in.
