Autometer Reverse 180 speedo
My BDR is equipped with the Autometer reverse 180 speedo with mechanical cable. I don't know if anyone else has this speedo setup but mine likes to leak. Not only a dribble down at the connection at the trans, but up at the speedo, under my dash. How in the heck is fluid getting up to my speedo connection and leaking out? I've tightened the connection and it still wants to leak. Anyone else having this problem?

I have a SMITH's and it has been a while since I did the guage side of things. Could a rubber washer perhaps be missing? I wish it was more recent in mine as I would maybe remember if my setup came with one.

Nuke-
I have the autometer speedo and haven't had a problem with it. For you to be having the problem you described, fluid must somehow be traveling up your speedo cable from the trans- which seems odd. I would pull the end of the speedo cable out of the trans and take a look at it. By the way, I checked out the pics of your new BDR, car looks very nice.

I think both of you are leading me down the correct path. I'll pull the trans end of the cable and see if it's missing an o-ring/washer. I've been avoiding doing that since the cross member holding the ole Tremec in place is in the way. Oh well, winter is coming. Chaplin, thanks for the compliment on the car. I'm enjoying it, even having to fix minor problems. That's part of the fun though. Sure would be boring if everything was perfect all the time!
