Kill the messenger!!!!

Who in the world did they interview for that list? Out of all the Corvettes, they picked a '68? I agree with the Ford GT and Cobra (not in order of course) but all the rest would not have made my list. I like the BMW M, but not the coupe. What about the Dodge Viper?

Hal Copple 10-24-2003 08:38 PM

in my opinion (ignoring the Cobra), out of the cars on the list, for me the Miura and the Daytona are heads above the rest. Many years ago, you could actually see these cars running on the Autobahn.

Beats the h-LLL out of me **) Some guy named Eddie Alterman authored the article. I do agree with you, especially with the choice of the '68 vette - the article states something about a "waistline", and its "coke bottle shape" referencing the vette. I can only imagine it was some dude who.... well, doesn't know a socket from a satchel

As I said - don't shoot the messenger. MJ does have some interesting advertisers. Want to take a ride in a MIG-29?

I would change the date on the Testarossa to 1957.To me,that and the 1962 250 GTO are the two most beautiful of Ferraris.I had the opportunity to see a' 57 about 20 years ago in Virginia City,Nevada.I'll never forget the sound as it drove by.The other later model Testarossas with it paled in comparison! As for the 1968'Vette,in my opinion they were only off by one year.The1967 427 Roadster complete with sidepipes ranks as the sexiest of all Corvettes. You just can't top that gorgeous teardrop hoodscoop!

The '68 Corvette was an atrocious design. The Aston Martin Zagato was pretty impressive, however. What happened to the '56-'57 Continental?

I think the main criteria for this list was sheer weight.

I'm gonna go with the list...

I had the 68 Corvette and the 64 Replica Cobra FIA.. Hey, two outta fifteen ain't bad...

(actually, the list is BS):MECOOL:

the very fact that the BMW M coupe is on the list discredits the whole damn thing... We're talking "butt ugly" on that car...

avanti-176 10-25-2003 01:29 PM

of all the Ferraris they have to choose from they pick an '85-'90 Testarossa??? So sad!!!
I can't think of any cars made during the 80's that I would call
SEXY....... except maybe my Contemporary Cobra:D ;)

Have a good one,
Dan

Dan,how about the Ferrari Daytona replicas that were popular in the '80s?They sure got killed off in a hurry didn't they?Just reinforces your observation-no sexy Ferraris(from Italy) in the eighties. We'll never forget the black one in Miami Vice early episodes though.I still love those reruns
