I would think that a Mr. Mustang could at least throw the kid some advice, eh?:p

Spend as much as you can afford on the newest Cobra with the lowest mileage.
Do a search on autotrader.com for keyword Cobra narrowing the search to those years you like. You should get plenty of hits. Do it for the whole nation to get an idea of what's out there and then narrow it to within a reasonable driving distance. You should find plenty of good SVT Cobra's for sale using that technique. Then, when your done wearing it out, buy a kit and use your "ragged out" SVT as a donor car. Buy what you like and visit this board anytime. Drive Safe! Joe |
thanx for the help
what do u mean by buy a kit and use the car as a donor car? |
This is where you want to be if your interested on the SVT Mustangs.

I had a 1998 Roushe Cobra Mustang and liked it very well. Unless the car goes "down hill", I usually buy the last year of that body style (like my 2000 SVT Contour, the last year they made them...) because it is usually the one with the most value, most horsepower, best looking, etc...
Just remember that in those years of the Cobra Mustang, you do not want to add a Supercharger unless you do some modifications to the engine first. |
I understand Roush doesn't actually build the car himself, he just some how attracted the right people ................
Ernie  (hey the devil made me say that) |
thanx for the link Bill

I always get a kick out of these kind of posts. After all, this is guy is many of us 20 - 40 years ago. Another hot rodder is born.
I can't help but also getting a chuckle out of folks thinking this is a Mustang site. So many think when you say Cobra you are talking Mustang. Then you tell them it is what the Mustang Cobra was named after. The light bulbs go off in a few! Not that you can't get any Mustang information here but I would think there would be much better forums out there. I am sure that a number of us have or do own them. I have owned six. Of course they where all built in 1970 or before! So Maupin, can't help you with the new Mustangs. But I can tell you that cars are more expensive (and for some, more addictive) than women or drugs (don't do drugs). So play it smart, get an education, save up your money. In the mean time, get your car, have fun, learn to work on it, don't street race....... live to the point that many of us have reached....... We drive them because we want to, not because it is all we can afford! Rick |
hell ya rick, i appreciate that, ill take ur advice...im doin great in school and already accepted to college and have plans for my future, i just wanted to get a head start on cars ;)
thanx guys |
