How much time for Body Prep

Hi, just bought a cobra and the kit needs lots of work. I have had three estimates. How long should it typically take to hang doors? I had an estimate of 40 hours, $400.00 and 15 hours, which is realistic?

Which Kit?...Elite?...old one ?...

Are the hinges Weld up or bolt up.........are they mounted to the doors?......Your answer is as broad as the make and stage of your car....

I spent most of the winter "prepping" mine. Doors took at least a
week,but then I'm a novice at "body"work.

I agree the question needs to be "Which Kit"

I know the earlier Factory Fives (MK I) were much worse then the newer ones (MK II). And they are supposed to be getting better.

I spent probably about a weeks worth of prep before sending it off to the painter for primer & paint. even then, he had to do a little more work.

BTW, mine is a FFR MK II

The doors and the inner panels are not bonded together. The hinges are to be bolted to the door and the frame, no welding.

- Sicne you ask, I spend about 15 minutes lathering myself up with skin exfoliant creme, scrub up real good, then drench myself with warm bath water for the intitial cleansing. Next I towel off lightly with soft warm towels freshly out of the clothes dryer. Then I jump into the shower for my regular wash and scrub, with some fresh scented hair shampoo and conditioner. Then follow this with a mild patte of fresh body powder scented from fresh cut roses. The total time for this body prep takes me at least two hours every day before work.
