Wanted "The Cobra Ferrari Wars" book

The Cobra-Ferrari Wars 1963-1965 by Michael L. Shoen
Hello
I'm trying to find a copy of this book. I've seen two example on Amazon, but the price is to high for my opinion.
Now I know that there are a lot of Cobra experts on this forum and I think somebody of you knows a bookstore where I can buy it cheaper!!
MANY thanks from Switzerland
ALF :D

Good luck! When I got my copy, I couldn't find a bookstore who didn't realize what they had and it's value.

That being said, it is a fantastic read.

The reason for the high price is because it has been out of print since the eighties and very few wants to let it go. So bite the bullet and bid high. Good luck.

I bought the book the first week it came out, i think its THE best book on Shelby Cobra history. If you ever see one for sale buy it, but it won,t be cheap.

$749 for a 15 year old book! What a great investment.

I saw one on Ebay a couple of months ago with a $525 bid.

I've been trying to buy the nop Daytona Coupe book--guess if I really want it I'm going to have to pay the $300-500 asking price

Books as investments are sometimes a good deal--about 25 yrs ago I bought a autographed copy of "The Hereschoffs--A Pictorial History"--I paid $30 for this near 400 page book about the fabled and legendary yacht designers and their beautiful yachts--you think original Cobras are expensive--some of the 70-80 yr old yachts sell upwards of 10mil--be that as it may this book is offered once in awhile on e-bay for $100 or more not autographed
Makes one wonder just what makes things collectible

You could increase the value of the Hereschoff book by giving it a CSX number.;)

Lets make a copy of the original!! and sell for 1/4 the original cost **) would it be legal??

PDHse 11-07-2003 01:46 PM

Wow did,nt realise it was worth that much, glad my wife bought it for me on my 30th birthday when it was first published . I would ,nt be able to afford it now.
A few years ago i saw a German book called DAS COBRA BUCH by Michael Frolich. That was going for £300.

Wow!!!
If I understand it right. The price on Amazon is O.K. for this great book!!
