Tuff Deck Flooring - Discount?

I clicked on the Member Discounts that keeps dancing around the top of my monitor and on Tuff Deck Flooring - but no member discount was to be found, in fact no price list either. A call the the company - $2.50 to $3.75 to 12! square - I mentioned Club Cobra - no discount was mentioned. I always hate it when no pricing is posted.

First, is there a Club Member discount?

Second, have any of you installed a Race Track or Tuff Deck floor and, if yes, how is it working out?

All input would be appreciated.

A short Rant: The same bar of links needs a lot of attention, on my PC it is extremely difficult to select from a list of items as you need to point your arrow just right and even at that point the list of items disappears before you can make a selection.

Here is the URL that the Member Discounts menu gets you to:

http://www.tuffdeck.com/

Now, be careful... you have to point right at that link, too....:D

Thanks, and I did point, but there is no mention of any discount on that page or any other page on that site.

Also, I've never been able to get the Links page to come up, off of the Member Favorites box - is it my PC?

I guess you disagree with my assessment of the dancing/moving link buttons - it's one of the worst set-ups that I've ever seen on a web page.

Also, the What Do You Do link doesn't work (under Member Favorites).

Vegan,
When did you call?...We have several people working in the office and all know that we offer a discount to Club Cobra members. The offers vary from time to time, but CC members get a break on the prices. Please call our Corp. office at 866 789 5927 and I'd be glad to speak with you regarding a CC discount.

Regarding prices on the website; We have over 10 different types of floor styles with more new ones on the way, and each with a different price. We also offer pricing based upon the quantity purchased. Shipping also affects the overall price, so a price on the website would be just a ballpark price anyway....about $2.50 to $3.75 a s/f, with some as much as $6.25 s/f.

Vegan,

I have no trouble with going to either the tuffdeck or racedeck site and they are the same thing anyway. Yes, I have a racedeck floor and have had for a year and love it. Easy to clean, I can take it up and move it if I want, and it has stood up to everything so far. When I ordered mine, I called and talked to them and they gave me the club member discount but I don't remember who I talked to or how much the discount was. I do remember that mine was well under the $3 dollars a square and I think more around $2.40 but am not sure. I also ordered 21' of the slanted edging that makes it easy to drive up onto the tile as the tile is about 1/4 inch thick with a honey-comb bottom for strength.
What bar of links are you having trouble with? I don't have any trouble with anything except when I try to delete a post and sometimes I can and other times I can't. Yesterday I couldn't delete one at all and this morning in the same forum I deleted one that I had changed my mind on.

Thanks Ron - what floor coverage do you have, e.g. under the car or the whole area around the car or the whole garage?

The "link" bar is brown and it's sits right at the top as I key in this message - sometimes the links work, most of the time they do not. I've never been able to click on Member Favorites and go to Cobra Club Links, but there is another way to get there, so it's no big deal - I just like for everything to work, every time as I'm webmaster is one of the hats I wear at work.

I just called about an hour ago - they are sending out a brochure to me in AZ. I just expected to see something about a discount as Tuff is listed under "Member Discounts." I'm always a little concerns, as a consumer, when no, even ballpark, prices are listed - it's kind of like - If you have to ask, you can't afford it! I sure as h**l would not want to get excited about something and find out it's $6.25 a sq. ft. with my garage 2,000 sq feet.

Vegan,

I did my whole garage and got a few extra. Some of the guy's like to take them to car shows to park on. I put some carpet under the car so I can sit on it as I have the Kwik Lift ramps and it also makes a great place to nap during the Summer.
As for the links, I have the same problems but I think some of mine are because of AOL and their way of doing things. As I stated earlier, some times I can delete posts with no problem and other times I can't delete one at all. I have started just logging on and then minimizing AOL and using Internet Explorer as my browser and that helps a lot when I want to download a picture or something. I have tried changing the graphics compression settings in the AOL browser and it is a hit and miss thing.
If you want, I will look up the paper work on my flooring as I still have it in one of my files.

You nap, under your Cobra? No need to look up the flooring cost, as I'm not sure what style I'm interested in, but I do know that I'm not paying $6.00+ per sq. foot. The products offered seem perfect for a garage, especially under a Cobra and they are sending a brochure.

There are a lot of people that have had it with AOL.

Vegan & CC Members;
We offer various specials on RaceDeck from time to time depending on price breaks passed onto us from the manufacturer. It is always best to call us for current CC discounts because pricing can vary on style and quantity.

Mr. Evans,

Nice to hear from you; glad to see you are still among the living - I, for one, have missed your postings - enjoy being the benificary of your knowledge and humor.

How's the book from the "Three Caballeros" coming?

Bob:

Is this the Race Deck that has a special ash coating compliments of the San Diego fires or is the stuff that has a pristine Utah look?

I heard that the San Diego variant is molded (melted) into one big piece and you simply trim around the edges and slide into your garage.

snakeeyes 11-11-2003 12:05 PM

I'm glad that people periodically post questions about RaceDeck as it's the only way we can be sure Big Bob is still out there.:D Used to be you could bait him with the small block v. big block issue but even that doesn't work any more.

Vegan, if you have a chance to do business with our Mr. Evans jump on it--not only is he the tallest salesman you've ever worked with (the rollbar in his Cobra looks like a cellphone tower) but he's scrupulously honest, as well--it's a wonder he's survived around here as long as he has...:3DSMILE:

Update - I received the brochure from Racedeck, along with a sample of the product. It looks and feels like plastic. It's an option, but I'm just not sold at this point.

joea 11-17-2003 04:57 PM

I hear the UCoatIt Epoxy system is pretty good...lots of praise for it here in the forums. I'm leaning towards it myself

foothills gary 11-17-2003 07:42 PM

Vegan2,nothing is made out of plastic anymore-it's all known as "polymer"(just ask Gaston Glock!) LOL
