Shell valley wire harness?

Okay everyone here is my problem, I hope someone can help me out.

When I turn on my turn signal, all four lights blink (two parking/turn lights up front and both rear lights) as well as all the dash lights. along with this problem when I step on the brakes, all four lights turn on again and stay on... along with all the dash lights.

Can anyone give me some insight on what I might be doing wrong? Is the dash lights coming on normal?

thanks

Sounds like it may be a grounding issue. Each light needs to be grounded to the frame. Otherwise you will get feedback through the harness causing other lights to come on.

I'll try that but damn, these instructions suck. also... this may sound like a stupid question but... how do you turn on the high beams on the head lights? told you.

thanks

Just push the switch on the turn handle (it switches one of the relays on the harnes)on the grounding ground each light to the frame be sure you grind off all the powercoat first ( I applyed Sillcoone Dielectric Grease to all)

There are 4 or 5 seperate ground wires that need to be connected to the frame. Be sure you have no corrosion where they connect. Usually when you have an odd problem such as you state it is a bad ground. To activate your dimmers (high-low beam) if you have the Painless harness there is a White/black wire in the turn signal harness that is momentarily grounded to activate the relays that dim the lights. The white/black wire and a black wire should be connected to a switch which is normally open. When pulsing the switch the lights will change state.
