Side Stripes

What the meaning ???????? I've seen them with one line
and two. I've seen them on one side and I've seen them on both sides.. |
TR.. they are called "team stripes" and usually appear on the drivers side.
The purpose was to easily tell apart the different cars of the same team during a race.. since usually all the cars were painted the same color. They really is no significance to the color and they are most often double-stripes... ...early 289s had one broad stripe from fender to fender. |

Are you aware of anyone who sells static cling team stripes? I have seen the static cling rondels, but not the team stripes. |
Any sign shop will make them for you or you could just trim them right off a roll if you can find it in the width you are looking for.

I can't give you the name of a product but I know it some sort of static cling vinyl. Talk to the ricers. All that crap they put on their car is that type of product (I think). But a sign shop would probably have it for a lot less.
Those custom shops can take any design you want, load into the computer, and then run it off. But you pay! Rick |

I call my stripes the "Thousand-Chevys-Beaten" awards......for every 1000 Chevys, Corvettes, Camaros, etc that I beat whilst racing, I get another stripe!!! lol !!!
