And you guys think you have a problem naming just one car?
How about me? You can't just name one, without hurting the feelings of the other 300 or so. Then there are the customer's cars. They come in for repairs, we don't know their names. Some we do. They keep coming back over and over and over, we are now on first name basis. One of those cars, just last week accused one of my technicians of car-abuse. We still have to go to court over that one. It is very impersonal, but what we found that works pretty efficiently is numbering them. Yes, numbering them. We give them stock numbers. It works and keeps the emotion out of it. It may not work for those who have only one car or two. TURK General Manager of GM dealership |
Pat,
The way Ron does things, my guess is he never had a first car! TURK |
Turk-
Or if he did, he still hasn't finished it. Tough to get date coded inner fender panels for a 1974 Chevy Vega Kammbak wagon... Pat |
Turk,
Do what my father in law did with his parachetes, he named them all "Ricki". When I first met him, I asked why, he answered logically, "when I come into the room and say hi Ricki, they're all happy." I think George Foreman took lessons from that old Greek! |
THE SNAKE except when it wouldn't start a time or two and then it became freekin bee itch. You know your buckled in and ready to pull off with everyone watching you and The Snake floods out or won't start for some reason and you say something like this:
YOU FREEKIN BEE ITCH WHY ARE YOU EMBARASSING ME LIKE THIS? And the she starts and the grin comes back to your face and you may say somethingl like. Just kidding baby. All the time your wife is looking at you like you are some kind of idiot and she will say something profain like "CHILL OUT IT'S ONLY A CAR"! Clois (ain't life great when everything works) Harlan |
Dan,

My wife nicknamed our cobra as "BABY". She has talked at work about our "baby" and when some one ask for a pic , she shows them the cobra. She says it takes as much care but in the long run costs less.
