Lots of "red" to choose from for 1997 Mustangs. Vermillion, Vermillion Tint Red and Laser Red Tint Metallic (in order from lighter to darker). The second one looks promising.....I'll have to check it out! |

The best red I've ever seen is BMW Imola Red used on certain "M" models only. Mine was on an M-Roadster and its blazing true red, that tints more toward the blue end of the spectrum....not to be confused with the BMW orange/red common on Z-3s.

Hello,
The number I originally posted was close, but not correct. The Red that the San Francisco Fire Department uses is PPG Concept CLV 73787 ALTH It is a beautiful shade of red. Enclosed is another photo. Never mind the damage, that's almost a monthly occurance:CRY: I love every firefighter that works here but I swear most of them could break a steel ball with a rubber hammer:D HTH, --Mike |
