Auto Lift: VBM?
Has anybody heard of a VBM Auto Lift?
I purchased a VBM - Model 20000 two post lift yesterday. 7000# capacity. The price was right and was one of those impulse purchases? VBM 1402 W Main Louisville, KY 40203 |
Hi,
Well, I never heard of that brand, but then again I've probably not heard of alot! I just installed a Bend-Pak XL9 9000# two post lift in my shop, I don't know how I ever got along without one before. I think one of the important points is: made in USA? Good luck, I think you'll like the convenience of a lift. |
Best tool purchase ever!
Arntz,
I hear you about the convenience of a lift! I had a Globe in ground hydraulic lift in my previous shop. Best tool I ever bought. I sold the house and the new owner is loving it. I had a line on a used (like new) Bend Pak and it looked like a quality lift but my ceiling is about 1" too low. This VBM I just puchased will fit just fine. The best I can tell is it is Made in USA, is solidly built. I've just not heard of them but then again, like you, there's a LOT of things I've not heard of. |
ohekk,
My Bend-Pak has the plate on the floor, so the only height restrictions were the heights of the two posts, which were fine. I don't have a problem with having the plate on the floor. I suppose that if you were using a transmission jack alot, this would be a hassle! Other than that, I like having the clear area above. I'm sure your rack will service you just fine. |
