I'll go a step further and recommend all of Carroll Smith's books!
Every High School library should be required to carry Carroll Smith's books if for no other reason than to turn the HS students on to the cool stuff that Engineers do. |
All this stuff for air lines in the shop??? Hydraulic lines-OK-but do you guys really use flare fittings and all this stuff for lines carrying compressed air at 100-150 psi?
Maybe I'm still in the dark ages... |
Absolutely,
Easy to assembly; easy to disassemble; no leaks; no problems. What more could you ask for? If you want to spend your entire life chasing down leaks, (and overtightening the fittings to stop the leak--then breaking the fitting) then I guess you could keep using the NPT stuff. Although, Loctite does wonders in solving the leaking problem. You still have the assembly and disassembly problem though. David |
