Good to hear from you Wayne. Glad to hear that the surgery went well and that you're returning to "normal" daily activities.

You KNOW that I can't let you slide without saying......
I'll bet things are REALLY busy at WalMart!:D

Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for a Healthy New Year.;)

Years Ago 12-18-2003 01:10 PM

'Dan, This "normal" business is just too much fun!

Dan Semko 12-18-2003 01:23 PM

Wayne,
I tried to talk one of the local WalMart Greeters into posing with an official Gasholes hat so I could send it to you but he was too busy chasing me through the parking lot with the carts!
Mumbled something about "that Stoker guy put you up to this didn't he?";)

The Deacon 12-18-2003 02:11 PM

Come on guys, we need to bring this to a close -

Deacon is the former controller of Shelby and knows very well the answer to most of the questions he has posted and he also knows dozens of people at Shelby to whom he could address any question he might not know the answer to.

This is just stirring the pot, and frankly I am surprised it would come from a former employee. The company was in no way unfair to him, and I for one have been of assistance in the facilitating of paperwork requested by his subsequent employer.

Deacon, why don't you give me a call, it would be nice to talk to you and see how things are going.

Wayne,

I have never hidden who I was from anyone, on the other hand I never did any confessing either...

Wayne, it was good to hear from you, and to know things are getting better. I did talk to Bob M a while back and did learn that you had been "under the weather" to put it lightly. I would love to talk to you sometime to do some catch up.

As far as getting information, I have not tried to obtain information from Shelby on issues. I think the reason for that is because the information regarding ongoing projects and any future projects was a closely held thing between Brent and Carroll before I left, and I am quite sure that would not change at all with my status of employment with Shelby. I have nothing but admiration for the people at Shelby, and I really did want the answer to my questions, because I did not know the answers.

I think you know me well enough to know there is no animosity or ill will in me. I have truly been wanting to find out what is going on in the world of Shelby, and felt this would be a way open to me to do so.

Thanks

So Deacon, how is Brent F. to work with? Just curious:D ;)
Rick

The Deacon 12-18-2003 05:45 PM

Hey...

I will tell you that Brent F. is a true professional, and a "Shelby" man through and through. I counted it a privilege to work with Brent, and all the people at Shelby, and you will never here otherwise from me. Does this mean with always agreed on everything, no...but then again no one ever does. I believe that Brent truly cares about Shelby and all the people that are still there, and even the ones that are not there anymore.

thanks.

Deacon,

Always a pleasure....

Deacon, I just got done reading this thread, and regardless of whether or not your questions are sincere, they came across to me, as they did with others who posted here, to be the sort of thing to stir the pot (to use others description of your questioning). Given your history with Shelby, I find it very difficult to believe that you do not know the answers to the questions already, or that you did not have a hidden agenda of some kind for asking them.

Why do I assume there's a hidden agenda? Because if it was totally sincere, I would have to assume that you would disclose who you are so that we could respond to the question in an appropriate way. In this case, most people saw through the smoke and mirrors, and ultimately another former Shelby person outs you.....It's fishy....Period.

Hey by the way.. the South Africa currency is a RAND, not a RAD (which is a unit of radiation measurement).

As hot as some of this gets maybe Rad is the correct word:LOL:

Tom, That is you! Isn't it!!
I recognize your fonts anywhere.
Anyone too lazy to spell out "TOM" and signs "T" is not that tough to discover.

Brent..No hidden agenda...What would it matter who I am or what I did, as to whether as to how you would answer a question, because isn't the truth just that, the truth, no matter who is asking the question... Then again maybe the only way sometimes to get the best, most complete answer is for someone just to answer the question blindly, without knowing who they are talking to at the time.

In any case, no hidden agenda. Yes, you would think I would know more, but I don't. Thanks
