Front vs. Rear Track Width

I am in the process of narrowing the rear end in a Midstates car and was wondering if I should shoot for the same track width in the rear of the car as the front. How were the Original Cobra's Front vs. Rear Track Widthe? Also, if any of you suspension / handling guru's have any recommendartions I would appreciate hearing them. I do plan on taking the car out to the road course on occassion?

Thanks

Mike

I measured a CSX the other day and it had

Front Track 55"
Rear Track 55"

There's many theory's regarding track and you have to deal with a body and fenders....

track....

Mike_I,
Don't really worry about the track, they vary quiet a bit on the CSX street vs Comp cars, and factory racing/customer setups.
The geometry of the rear is the key element along with the fender clearance on full bump.
