Rick ~ SPF #1048 is for sale by Cars 2NV in Columbus http://www.cars2nv.net/index.html

I don't know anything about this car but maybe one of the central Ohio members do.

Rick: I actually looked at the car that Brian is referring to (#1048) and it's in very good shape. It has a 392 Ford crate engine in it, braided lines, MSD 6AL, Tremec 3550, and a lot of the "newer car" upgrades (I'm not sure if it has the pull down fuse box though...) and it didn't have the windsheild support rod. It is very clean, has about 4000 miles on it. Indigo Blue / wht stripe. Also has the Superformance "Cobra" floor mats that are no longer available. He had the car on Cobra Country last fall for 44.5K and it was on Ebay a few times as well, but didn't sell. He also has his own enclosed trailer that he offered to deliver it in.
Send me a private e-mail and I'll give you an idea of what he offered it to me for. Then you're on your own!.....

I was the original owner of SPF 1048. I sold it last March to the owner of Cars2NV who wanted it for his private collection.

It DOES have the pull down fuse box and is an overall terrific looking and performing car. If you have any questions you can call me at 313.510.4324.

Gary - I sure wish I had your number when I was looking at that car! I had some questions regarding the car that Jerry couldn't answer. It's nice of you to offer talking about your old car and help out in the sale.

I like your NEW car! I saw the very 1st SPF made in Sunset Red / Titanium stripe...........BEAUTIFUL color combo.

Terry,

I didn't know that Jerry was selling 1048 until just recently or I would have been happy to answer any questions you might have had. It really is an excellent car.

Thanks for the comments regarding 1710. I do like the color because its a little non tradtional. I really wanted to do an FE engine which is the only reason I sold 1048.

I see you have or are building a 427 sideoiler. I'll look forward to seeing pictures of it. Do you have it yet or is the chassis still on order? What color combo did you opt for?

Rick, I have a customer that wants to sell his SPF. It has a Ford crate engine(392 CID) and many upgrades. It is Galexy blue with white stripes. It has under 1000 miles. It is priced at 45k. Call me if you are interested. Thanks, Eric (513) 738-5001

Gary:
Your old car was in top condition when I looked at it a few months ago. I'm a OSU grad and my wife went to Northwestern so we went to their football game in Columbus a couple months back and that's when I met Jerry and looked at the car. It's in great shape and would be a nice choice for Rick (or anybody) if he wants to check it out.
He and I were really close to a deal and then a friend of mine decided to sell HIS car and he's only 15 min from my house (vs. having to ship it here from Ohio). I know the cars history, and it was the color I was looking for (Indigo Blue / White stripe) and the bonus was.....it has a 1966 427SO in it (custom built with lot's of "go fast" goodies!). I'm hoping to get a digital camera for Christmas, so I'll post some pics as soon as possible.
I really liked your old #1048 car.......but there's nothing like the sound of an FE (as you're well aware of!).

Happy Holidays!

Terry,

I think you would have been happy with 1048 but I know for a fact that you are going to love the 427 FE engine set up. The fact that it is relatively rare among SPF Cobras further enhances its desirability. Be sure to pass along some pictures if Santa brings you a camera.
