Wheel rim width to body clearance
Wheel rim to body clearance,
I think most of us like to have as much width as possible, and as I am about to order rims, and have some old rocket mags on my cobra without tires, I am trying to guess what width rims and offset. I run a straight edge up from both sides of rim up to the guard turnunder, and as most tires taper inwards which gives more clearance, and the rim will not go anywhere near the guard on full compression, also I assume maybe 1/4" -1/2" clearance would be good! To avoid hit and miss and utter disappointment can someone knowledgeable simplify measuring for guard clearance?   |
