Should A T/O Bearing Have Noise In It?

I just bought a brand new McLeod T/O bearing for my Toploader....I got it clipped on the fork, and spun it...it doesn't sound too smooth....got just a little noise in it. Is this normal?

All the TO bearings we stock make a little noise when you turn 'em. Probably the seal rubbing. Does the bearing feel like it's got grease in it? I recall that we got one that was dry a long time ago. Reject!

Yeah, it's got grease in it. It's not extremely noisy, but it's not as smooth as a ball bearing...I'm sure it's fine then.
