Anyone here have the Escort G-Timer?

I've been thinking of purchasing this gadget. Is it worth it or is it just another toy I want but don't really need? There seems to be two models, one for $150 and another for $250. Beltronics is also offering a similar gadget for the same price. My problem is not having the patience to read the instruction manual on these things anyway. JEKYLHYDE What have you found?

I have one, it was given to me by a friend and I have used it just a few times. I have also used the G-analyst. It is very nice and I believe to be much more capable. It has two accelerometers instead of one, so you can measure accelerations in two axis at once. So for example, it will show you the friction circle of your car. I know they used to be very popular with the autocrossers. Look on e-bay.

Happy New Year and thanks Bill and Tom. What king of readings have you obtained with your Cobra?
