Mustang or Jet?(Awesome MPEG)
I ran across this video clip the other day, and it is rather intense, to say the least. Rumor has it this is Dan Millen's Pro 5.0 car.
Turn your volume WAY up, and enjoy! ~Dave dyno |
145 views, and NO comments.....hmmm......
Ok, maybe I'm wierd, but I thought this was freakin' awesome. So, here's a bump for those that missed it. PS: The fun starts about 3/4's of the way through. Maybe you're not watching the whole thing??? Take two.... |
I think the link is gone, I couldn't view it. Maybe thats why no one commented..they couldn't see it?
|
Yeah, that could be a problem..
I just tried the link, and it still worked for me. Anyone else not linking properly? Damm 'pooters.... |
No link, I'm bummed!
Don "the office guy" |
Grrrrrrr.....
Try this link: http://videos.teamstreetlegal.com/DynoPeg.wmv If this doesn't work, try an internet search on "dynopeg". (yes, this turbo'd small block Ford pegs the dyno @1200 wheel HP!%/ ) |
Holly Molly,
Just did my ears in. I think i would of done a runner when i saw the flame shooting out. Screamer. Skiipy |
Talk about turbo whine!
|
lol
Yeahh no responses because it didn't work but the second link worked for me.... big slicks, flames lol sweet car! But MY WORD... Sounds like some squeel lol that rock'd was that really a turbo!?? And whats was with the flames under the car!? That naturall or did the car get "wounded" lol dumb question I know...
sweet video, where did you get that? |
I definitely would have run away. I nearly ran away when my own car was put through it's paces on a chassis dyno. It's just not normal to hear a car make that kind of noise and be stationary!
jamin - I believe flames often normal on overrun from big revs with a turbo, often there is a system to inject fuel into the exhaust on the overrun to keep the turbo spinning. I also suspect there were some open headers under that car. |
Ok now I saw it, still have no comment. because I'm left speechless!...I saw another dyno pull where a Buick GN loses traction from the dyno, smokes the tires and still manages 1271hp...
1200hpsick**) |
My mistake, it made 'only' 1000hp on the wheelspin pull. 1271 w/traction. First you're tempted to laugh at it with the turbos cut thru the hood but- 8.30et @ 166 in 1/4
smoked dyno |
HOLY COW.... LOL You can really hear those turbos scream lol wow powerful car... nice 1/4 time too ekk!
|
They had a video a while back like that with a buick gn turbo.. about 1500 horses. sounded awesome
|
Well, I'm glad the second link is working! Hey, I never claimed to be a 'pooter expert like Brent! ;)
Keep in mind, the dyno stopped reading @1200. Judging by the curve, I'd say it had plenty left. Also, this same car set the world record(at the time) for 10.5" tire, 7.17 @198! I have an MPEG for that too, I'll try to link it. I must confess, I have these on my 'pooter hard drive, and watch them 3-4 times a day! ARR ARRRR!!:3DSMILE: |
Those cars aren't your father's Porsche 930!
