Can some CSX/KMP guys give me some measurements?
I need the distance from the left side of the driver's footbox to the clutch pedal....and an approximate distance from the clutch pedal to the brake pedal....

No KMP or CSX here but I do have a suggestion for you.
It is unlikely that your foot box is the same size and shape as those two cars. As cramped as it is in any foot box, I would suggest that you first place the gas pedal, giving yourself room for your foot to center on the pedal from side to side. Then, find some way to hold the brake and clutch pedal braket temporarily in place so you can change it's position. Next, sit in the car (preferrably with the seat in it) and move the assembly right or left to give you room. I assume here that your pedals are on a common bracket. You will find that there will not be room for your left foot on the floor beside the clutch pedal when it is set up right. You're doing this for comfort and usability, not originality. Also remember that your feet will be to the left of your body because of the shape of the foobox and transmission tunnel. It looks awkward, but takes very little getting used to. Distance between the pedals can be gauged by looking in my gallery at the pic called "details" if you're using the AC pieces like mine. Height is a matter of the size of your feet and where the bracket will bolt on. Just make sure you leave room for pedal travel on both the clutch and the brake. This will also be a product of where you place the master cylinders. Hope this helps a little. Al |
On my car, KMP 142, the distance between the left side of the footbox and the centerline of the clutch pedal is 6 1/8".

I had the pedals bent to the left on our CSX because I couldn't push the accelerator pedal without cambering my size 11.5 foot.
The clutch is 6.5cm from the left side to the left leading edge of the pedal, the brake is 18cm. to the left leading edge of the pedal. The measurements to the center of the pedals are 10 cm on the clutch and 21cm on the brake. Hope it helps. |
