427 Dan Gurney Galaxie
Any of you out there have any interest in a 1965 Dan Gurney 427 Powewed Nascar Stock Car?
Talk about a great compliment to your Cobra.. |
Wow....how much? Can you post photos?
|
Reality
Sorry for not explaining better. Here's the deal. We are talking about making a dead on replica of the car from a 65 Galaxy with a title that can be driven on the street with an extra set of race tires on board so you can drive to the track, take a few laps and drive home.
I THINK THIS COULD BE THE ULTIMATE STREET CAR AND CERTAINLY GET LOTS OF LOOKS AT THE PIGGLY WIGGLY. ***IF YOU WANT AN ORIGINAL WE HAVE THE FIRST DIBS ON THE FRED LORENZEN 1964 FORD GALAXY. IT NEED A TOTAL RESTORATION AND WILL ONLY GO GET IT IF SOMEONE WANTS IT. |
BTW...
.....when it's a Ford, it's a "Galaxie"
NASA searches the Galaxy, Ford built Galaxies! Just a pet peeve:CRY: Rick:3DSMILE: |
Actually, that '64 Galaxy, Fred Lorenzen #28 was my team as a kid growing up in NC. He was my hero. I actually had a chance to sit in at the NYC Worlds Fair in 64 or 5.

A little tempting tidbit
If we do the project we will have my father who was there at Riverside when it happened as well as our inner circle of former Holman Moody employees such as Richie Bartz and Wadell Wilson.
Maybe even get Dan to sign and authorize the deal would be a good thing too. That wouldn't be a definate but, I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask. |
