'A/C' Cobra
Now that it's mid January I was wondering, has anyone built or owned a Cobra with air conditioning?

Don't ask me why on a 19 degree day(here) I would be thinking about a/c, the thought just popped into my frozen head. I suppose it's because I see alot of cars in the gallery with tops & sides and wondered why? I thought maybe in the warm southern states that was the thing to do. Top and a/c. I wasn't considering installing a system- I built my car with the firm belief that if it wouldn't make it go faster, it does't get bolted on.

I can see where an a/c set up would be benefit.. coming home after a brunch get together,, in early afternoon it was 105 when I passed a temperature sign next to the freeway. We were still over an hour from home and by the time we got there,, we were cooked.

I don't want to tell tales out of school, but Blackjack's Excaliber is an automatic with A/C. If he didn't also have a butt-kickin ERA 427 SC Roadster and a GT-40, I'd have to give him some crap about it. :D

Blackjacks car is very sharp. Looks like the perfect car for taking long slow relaxing rides in. I can appreciate that. Especially if I were jammed up in freeway traffic on a 105deg. day! I lean more toward the scare factor in my cobras uses, which makes it less street friendly. It is nice to have more than one cobra but I gave up the multiple toys when I realized it could lead to more than one marriage. Now I disguise my toys in different forms. As long as I can rationalize they're not similar they're ok. "well no honey thats a 4x4..oh this one? it's a race car...no, no thats a streetrod...and this one only has two wheels!" It's been working for 5 years...will it last?

When the temps are over 100 degrees, and you arent moving very fast in traffic, etc, you will WISH you had A/C!! Now, cool air ducts into the footwell are a good idea.........
