They look to be copies of the FIA wheels that where found on the small block competition cars and later on the first 427 Comp Cars and S/C's.

Bud - I thought they looked like FIA wheels. I didn't realize they came on the 427 also. You mentionned only the early 427's? Can you elaborate? Thanks, Bruce

This is a 289 FIA wheel

A few early 427 cars had these type of wheel, I believe, until they went to the "GT-40" style that is normally seen on 427 body styles today--but I could be wrong here

I checked Friedmans book, it seems these wheels were also used on the Daytona coupe? Bruce

They are early prototype wheels. I have photo's of this wheel on 289 as well as 427 cars in 1964 as well as Daytona Coupes. likely they were magnesium and competition pieces.
As such they would be "correct" for either.

If you look carefully at the famous AC assembly line photo, you will see several early comp cars coming off the line. I have always cited that photo as proof that the quick jacks were FACTORY installed with bolts out, and this same photo also shows the presence of these FIA style wheels on those cars.
