Much Thanks to Clay of CACC

Just want to say thanks and much appreciation to Clay Foushee of CACC. I had posted as a new member beginning my research to Cobra ownership. Clay invited my wife and I to his place to take a look at his classic silver Unique 427. I've seen Cobra's at shows and meets but Clay gave me my first opportunity to sit in and get comfy in one, and now I'm hooked and no looking back from here. He shared his knowledge and explained things to look for if I decide to buy used and tips for kit purchasing.

We not only enjoyed the car but more importantly Clay's hospitality. Meeting more people like Clay is just more incentive for us on this project.

I also got some ideas on must haves in the garage; recliner and tv. Since I'll be living in Phoenix I won't need the heater but already plannig to install an AC unit in the garage.

Thanks Clay

Dean,

That was very gracious of you. The pleasure was all mine, and meeting people like you and K are a big part of my enjoyment of this hobby.

It's too bad it was 20 degrees with snow on the way. We could have taken a little spin in addition to just teasing you with that BB rumble in the garage.

Best of luck to you and K in Phoenix if I don't see you again at a "grease-up."

So Clay does have a kind side;) Dean, this is just the begining. For me a large part of what makes Cobras so great are the people involved with them.

By the way, you will definiatly want to have the garage with AC. I have been there in the summer. It is like our winter. People come out before the sun rises and then you don't see any one the rest of the day. It is like living in a community of nocturnal creatures! Of course, AC in the Cobra wouldn't be bad either! You might survive long enough to make it up to the mountains where the temperatures are survivable! Great group of Cobra people in the Pheonix area to. The nights at the Pavilion are not to be missed.

Yes Rick, I actually do......

I look forward to meeting you in Gadsden, and of course at DVSF IV!

Rick,
Thanks for the info but I lived in the valley 3 years before here and have been to the pavillion before and definitely looking forward to meeting the owners out there.

Not a problem Clay, I look forward to meeting more of the members at a breakfast soon.

I caught a post of someone building an A&C Cobra, I'd like to take a look at your build and any info you can give.

We know you do! I will not be in Gadsden this year. I will of course be at DVSFIV and I will be in DC Memorial day weekend and was planning on joining you all for breakfast at the VI. See you then!

Rick
