Image Auto Works (Singer Racing)

Image Auto Works delivered my cobra today! :) In my last thread I may have been a little too critical--maybe a little impatient ?

Anyway, I just wanted to set the record straight because they (Gred Lanier, Don Borders, and Natan Adler) did a fantastic aluminum block 427/454 engine build/installation. Sorry about the poor quality photo, I only have a cheap digital camera.

Jeff,

Is your car an Image car made completely by Don Borders in house? If so you got a heck of a good piece. They're top o' the line. Don was the king at Contemporary and these cars are better yet.

Nice looking engine compartment. Am I seeing an old tunnel/wedge manifold? Looks neat. Watch it for a while before you stick your leg in it. Unless you have cockpit time in a car with high hp low weight. You'll get a real surprise. Could be fun or just plain dangerous.

Keep the shiney side up:)

Al

Al, thanks for the kudos. My car is a Superformance, but I've seen the Image cars under construction and they do look nice. Yes, the intake is a tunnel wedge--I originally was going for a medium riser intake but Don talked me into the tunnel wedge, and I'm glad he did.

Thanks for the good advice on taking it easy for a while. I plan on doing just that because I know these cars can bite really quick.
