I have heard a LOT about Zaino but really know very little about it. Is it some thing like Liquid Glass? The site talks about polish this and polish that buts mentions little else.

Any ways...... I have come to use Griots products. And like them very much. The paint on my car is about 18 years old. LOTS of use. It was swirl city when I picked I first got it. While I did not take the amount of time I should have to buff out all the swirl marks etc, the difference was nothing short of amazing. I mean amazing.

I did not take any before and after shots much less shots that will illistrate the difference but take a look at these (admittedly these where a while after the car was waxed and no promise it was clean at the moment!):

Which is 'after'. And this:

The 'before' isn't a good shot for comparison but if you had been there, it was incredable.

The polishes where a snap with a random orbiter. The wax I put on way to darn heavy the first time and payed hell for it. That was until I learned that use some of the speed shine and the excess come right off.

This is a WAX. So don't expect it to stay on all year (like the Liquid Glass that I used on my Z, good stuff). Don't expect it to dust right off with a minimum of effort (it won't). But it does do a nice job! Their other products are real nice to!

Support your local distributors...

Just a quick note to say that (besides using Zaino's web store) Sal has set up a network of distributors throughout the US. These distributors offer the same products, and may be able to provide better shipping (even hand delivery), as well as first hand advice and other products (mirco fiber towels, etc...).

I'm obviously a big Zaino fan, and I use it on all of my cars.

Randy
There is no mention of any distributors on the Zaino web site. Randy, can you advise where one can locate that network?

Hey Zderf,

I'll find out who the distributor is in your area...

Other than that, I'm sure Sal can provide that information...

As background info, only until recently (say during the past 6 months or so) were Zaino products available on line. One had to email or fax or phone their order directly to Sal. The real surge of popularity of Zaino grew from the distributor network - word of mouth and posting on auto forums. I started reading about Zaino over on the Corvette forum about 4 years ago. And in fact, the Nor Cal Zaino distributor owns a couple of Corvettes - he approached me while I was driving my Cobra and introduced me to Zaino. Now that Sal has set up an on-line store, the distributor network is taking a hit. Since the local distributor is a friend, I try to point out to folks interested in Zaino to search our their local distributor.

I spoke with Steve (the Nor Cal distributor), and he said that there is no distributor for Washington. Steve said that you can contact him or Zaino.com - your choice.

Steve contact info:

Hope this helps,
